


Summer Innovation Academic Course

We invite you to join us for an Innovation Academic Tour at the University of Haifa. In this 14-day course, students will explore famous Israeli entrepreneurs’ startup ideas, learn about Israeli innovative culture and spirit, hear lectures from the world’s best professors of the Israeli innovation phenomenon, and study investments of Israeli bio-medical and cleantech industries. In addition, the students will have opportunities to give roadshow presentations, share their startup ideas, and receive worldwide successful entrepreneur Dr. Kobi Inbar’s feedback and mentorship.
Dr. Kobi Inbar has many years of extensive entrepreneurial, managerial, R&D, and business experience, working with both startups and investors in the life sciences, bio-medical and cleantech industries. Dr. Inbar served as the CEO of TK Signal and was the VP of Operations for Peptor. Prior to that, he served as the VP of R&D at ProCognia (formerly GlycoData) and Head of the Drug Discovery Unit at Collgard Biopharmaceutical. Dr. Inbar was the founder and COO at Genaphora Ltd., an advanced water detection company, working in partnership with Mekorot, The Israeli National Water Company. Currently, he serves as the V.P. of R&D at the Stockton Group, an Israeli-based company operating in the global market of Bio-pesticides for sustainable agriculture.
This course will connect you to business executives, professionals, and the leading experts in your field of interest, taking you to the green tech and technology companies, providing you with a platform for understanding Israeli creativity, and helping you to discover the entrepreneurial spirit that has built Israel’s worldwide reputation as the “Startup Nation”.
The University of Haifa sees this academic tour as an opportunity to expose faculty and students from leading universities to the excellence and vitality that is offered here in the city of Haifa. Through this course, the students will become empowered as young global leaders and entrepreneurs.
Admissions Requirements:
The course is open to all applicants above the age of 18, currently enrolled in a university, and are young entrepreneurs.
Candidates must demonstrate the following:

Social and Cultural Activities:
Students participate in activities with experienced university Social Activity coordinators, as well as take trips to Israel’s tourist attractions, such as the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, visiting a kibbutz, Hecht Museum, Bahai Gardens, etc. Students will immerse in the local culture, through Shabbat dinner meals and other social activities. Students may also take advantage of visits around the city of Haifa and Israel. Please see our social activities page.
